Cairo Festival City (CFC), a leading mixed use development project, recently oversaw the installation of a Boeing 737 aircraft at the KidZania facility. The edutainment city, which will be hosted inside Cairo Festival City, is on track to open by the end of 2012. The latest milestone for the innovative edutainment facility was the installation of the Boeing 737 aircraft, which will be featured inside the city to offer Egyptian children the opportunity to experience firsthand what it would be like to pilot and work onboard an airplane.

AFGRE finalizes the first Lease Agreement for Cairo Festival City’s commercial offices

Al Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) recently finalized their first Lease Agreement for an Office space in Southern Business District at Cairo Festival City. The agreement entails the leasing of approximately 6,000 m² in one of the four commercial office buildings overlooking Al-Tiseen Street. Procter and Gamble (P&G); one of the leading multinational consumer goods organizations signed with Cairo Festival City, and became the first lessee to enter the development at the business park.

Phase one is 172 villas out of the 480 total to be built within the Oriana community and is expected to help meet the rising demand for residential housing in New Cairo which is projected to be over 2 million by 2020.

Al Futtaim Group Real Estate Signed with Major Contractors for 419 million EGP

CAIRO, EGYPT, 2 August 2009 – After closing two contracts worth a combined value of 419 million EGP with SIAC and the Arabian Construction Company (ACC), the first phase of Cairo Festival City’s residential district is now underway. SIAC, which has already begun construction, was awarded a 316 million EGP contract and ACC, expected to begin developing Oriana’s infrastructure early September was provided a 103 million EGP contract.
